TCC Mission
The mission of the TCC is to harness the power of every individual through education, training, and volunteer service to make Temecula safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health issues and disasters of all kinds.
TCC Programs and Services
TCC teaches four CERT 24 hour training courses in Temecula each year with approximately 25 to 40 students in each class. Two classes are for adults 18 years of age and older, and two classes are for high school students at least 14 years of age. One additional class taught in Spanish was added to the schedule in 2025.
TCC provides a portable Rehab (cooling) station setup (2 – 10’x20’ and 1-10’x10’ E-Z Ups with cooling chairs and misting fans) for first responders at significant emergencies.
TCC provides storm watch support for the city to monitor key locations during major storms.
TCC distributes sandbags and provides a sandbag filling station for the community during major storms.
TCC provides a public information booth and/or first aid booth at the city’s Rod Run, State of the City Breakfast, 4th of July Sports Park event, city’s Safety Fair, and other major corporate or public safety events (e.g., Abbott Safety Fair, Marine Corps Air Station safety fair).
TCC provides amateur radio emergency communications support in the city’s Emergency Operations Center and other locations during major city events and activations.
Most of the TCC members are licensed amateur radio operators and regularly participate in on-air radio nets.
TCC members are prepared to assist our city and community with two vehicles and six trailers for setting up shelters, conducting search and rescue operations, providing medical triage and treatment, managing emergency communications, and supporting in any disaster or major emergency in the most effective manner possible.
FOTCC Board of Directors
The board of directors consists of three officers (designated members of TCC) and six directors (1 member from TCC and 5 community partners). Officers, directors, and FOTCC supporters serve without compensation. The board of directors provides oversight and guidance for FOTCC fund-raising efforts.
